What does it cost to be on the panel?
Advocates and firms pay a subscription, and that is the whole of it. There is no commission on any fee you agree, no charge per matched case and no charge for a case you decline. Clients pay KES 100 to send a description, which covers running the matching.
Why does verification go through Jawabu?
Wakilimfukoni partners with Jawabu to find and check its lawyers. Jawabu confirms your admission, practising certificate, disciplinary record and insurance against the official records, then checks again every year. We do not decide who passes, which is what makes the badge worth something to a client.
How are cases matched to me?
Through Jawabu’s client discovery: by practice area, court, your track record in that area and whether you have room right now. You are never shown a case outside the areas you picked.
Do I have to reply to every case I am sent?
No. Answer the ones worth your time and skip the rest. Skipping is not held against you and does not change what you are sent next.
When does the client get my contact details?
Only when they ask for a call on your proposal. Until then they see your name, your firm, your verification and what you wrote.
